With the TK-BabyZeit app, Techniker Krankenkasse accompanies expectant parents digitally through pregnancy and into their baby’s first weeks. The app combines information, checklists, videos and interactive tools with direct access to TK services – tailored to each phase. As digitalization partner, Cap3 provides concept, design and technical implementation, continuously evolving the app with new features.

Everything important in one app.
A central goal in developing the TK-BabyZeit app was to guide expectant mothers with personalized content tailored to every stage of pregnancy. The focus lies on user-centered design and technological flexibility: dynamically adapted content for each pregnancy week is complemented by external services such as midwife search and consultation. The technical implementation ensures a seamless user experience on any smartphone.

Digital support for expectant parents.
In close cooperation with Techniker Krankenkasse, Cap3 has developed an app that digitally supports expectant and new parents during pregnancy and the first months with their baby. The app delivers weekly, stage-specific information on the baby’s development, medical advice and practical checklists for organizing appointments and tasks. An integrated planner helps keep track of everyday life. The offering is complemented by a media library with videos on childbirth preparation, recovery and yoga, as well as podcasts covering pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. Built with React Native for iOS and Android, the cross-platform app is connected to a content management system (CMS) that makes updates flexible and easy to maintain editorially.

Technical integration for a tailored midwife search
To provide a user-friendly and powerful midwife search directly within the TK-BabyZeit app, the interfaces supplied by Keleya were seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure. This makes the external service fully accessible in-app – without any media disruption. The search allows targeted selection by type of care or course offering, enhanced with practical filters such as language, services or course type – always tailored to individual needs. The focus is on high-performance integration, intuitive user guidance and smooth functionality.
Seamless contact
Once the search is complete, the app lists all available midwives matching the chosen criteria. Users can define their preferences, set up a profile and get in touch via email. Request statuses are always visible in the app – clear and convenient.
