Anyone who has installed the TK-Doc app on their smartphone can contact the TK-ÄrzteZentrum in person at any time and receive advice and health tips from the comfort of their own home, according to Techniker Krankenkasse's basic idea for TK-Doc. The TK-OnlineSprechstunde is the first fully digitalized offer of exclusive remote treatment.
In addition to the core function of personal medical advice there are also other tools that support the assessment of medical issues. For example, the laboratory value checker provides information about which diseases may be behind deviating values in the blood or urine analysis.
Access to more than 80 doctors from around 30 medical specialties via telephone, chat and video appointment booking means that a wide variety of systems and interfaces have to be integrated for the technical implementation.
Due to the health-related data, data protection and encryption of the data are an important topic in the development and further development of the app functions.
