Four days, 30 team members and a new location: That was CodeCamp 2025!

On the last weekend in September, we jumped into creative software projects together at our accommodation on the Danish island of Funen. We developed, designed, tested and, of course, celebrated.

Cap3 Team is coding

As every year, there were many exciting ideas on the agenda: From innovative AI implementations to golf tracking and music visualization, everything was included.

An overview of our projects

Umbug

An internal tool that allows our project management team to record time records from the application ActiveCollab flexible transfer between projects — simple, efficient and suitable for everyday use.

Reading Documents with AI

This project tested how AI can assist with the automated reading and naming of documents. The most important finding: complex tasks work better in smaller, clearly defined prompts, ensuring that the results remain accurate and usable.

Run Scum!

A workout buddy app with character: It cheers you on during training with lots of sarcasm and cheeky sayings. Ideal for anyone who is motivated to perform at their best through a bit of provocation.

Light Sound!

Music meets light: The project visualizes songs using DMX-controlled lamps. In real time, the application analyses the frequency spectrum and creates suitable lighting moods for an immersive audio-visual experience.

Live golf scoring with SolidJS

This app brings real-time transparency to golf tournaments: It allows tournament managers to record scoring data directly and viewers to follow the results live.

Walking RPG

A role-playing game that rewards movement: By taking real steps in everyday life, the character moves forward on the map. This makes every walk an adventure.

It was impressive to see how the teams developed their ideas from initial drafts to working prototypes within just a few days.

And the rest of the time?

In addition to the project work, there was no shortage of fun: The Cap3 players were divided into Team Red and Team Blue, who competed against each other in various challenges. It quickly became clear that the curling challenge was the crowd's favorite — and was quickly declared an ongoing discipline.

Knowledge and combination skills were tested in the large Cap3 quiz. In the end, Team Blau prevailed as the clear winner. As always, the Cocina-Kitchen team provided us with fantastic food throughout the weekend. And in the evenings, our CAP3 DJs provided relaxed beats and a good mood.

We're already looking forward to the next CodeCamp — even though (unfortunately) it's still far too far away.
