Exciting news from Cap3

The internal research project HANKO A start-up for the development of apps and server components for passwordless authentication based on FIDO standards is being founded. The time has come for secure and convenient authentication and a future without passwords. In order for the authentication service made by Cap3 to conquer the market and achieve its potential, the product idea requires full attention and sufficient manpower. Cap3 has been successfully established on the market as a service provider for high-quality, individual software services for seven years and will continue to focus 100% on the professional implementation of customer projects. For this reason, the decision has now been made not to develop and sell the HANKO product “on the side” at Cap3, but to set it up on its own through a spin-off.

Felix Magedanz, one of the co-founders and managing directors of Cap3, becomes the new managing director of Hanko GmbH. With Felix Meissner and Frederic Jahn, two qualified developers are also joining the new company. However, for the time being, nothing will change spatially. Hanko will start in one of the Cap3 offices on the Ringstraße and the team can still go on their lunch break together and play hot matches at the Cap3 soccer table.

Under the leadership of the remaining three founders Sören Fenner, Nicolas Günther and Bettual Richter, Cap3 GmbH will further expand its previous business model as a specialist in consulting on the subject of digitization and customer-specific software development.

The Cap3 team and the young start-up Hanko are looking into an exciting and promising future.
